City government as well as honourable supreme court judges have failed to protect the citizens of Delhi and their rights.
Besides other innumerable problems 3 things are rampant in the city: encroachments, dogs and Cows. Honest citizens are in trouble, low-abiding persons are feeling suffocation. Ladies, old people and children are feeling very unprotected. There is fear of getting a hit from cows and bulls, and there may be a nasty bite from a dog.
City is almost infested with uncontrolled animals every where - on the road, in the streets, in the markets. And their population is increasing rapidly. And it is happening in the capital of the biggest democracy of the world India - a country which is being considered a new world power in near future.
Like central government of India the city government is flooded with cash but the leaders are more busy in planning new taxes than solving the problems of the city.
In spite of repeated court orders Municipal Corporation of Delhi have been unable to check the menace of stray animals. It never fulfilled its assurances given to the court time and again. I think honourable court must appoint a monitoring committee to implement its orders regarding stray animals (dogs, cows, bulls and monkeys). heavy fines should be imposed on the public servants (neglecting the court orders of their duties).
With mindless planning the city government is making the life of the residents really difficult. Sometimes the people think that the government is there only to add to their troubles, and to make Delhi a city for animals.
Will the government wake up and make Delhi a world class city - a place this great city deserves.
